SUNDAY SCHOOL OUTLINE FOR 24TH APRIL, 2022.

TOPIC: ADD TO WHAT I HAVE PROVIDED FOR GOD’S HOUSE

TEXT: 1 CHRONICLES 22:14-16

MEM. VERSE: 1 Chronicles 22:11, “Now my son, the Lord is with you, so that you may succeed in building Him a house as He has said concerning you”.

OBJECTIVE: That Christians may understand that God has requested them to build him a house with the talents he has blessed them with.

LESSONS:

1. VESSELS PROVIDED FOR BUILDING GOD’S HOUSE.
   When David was telling Solomon his son, about the quantity of vessels of gold, silver, bronze and iron etc, he had provided with pain for the building of God’s house, he actually was handing over to him a responsibility from God. Though King Solomon was young at the time, yet his father believed so much in him that, he entrusted him quite early with the assignment of building God a house as he requested. Furthermore, he told him that he must add to those vessels he had provided. That is to say, he too needed to contribute for the building despite the large quantity of materials provided by his father.
2. START THE BUILDING WITH THE SKILLED MEN WITH YOU
   After King Solomon became acquainted with his responsibility, his father also urged him to start the building right away, seeing that, he had with him abundant talents of human vessels who can perfectly work in any part of the building; so that the project would progress well and be completed in record time.
   Going by the above, you will notice that Solomon was helped to the extent that he lacked nothing that could hinder him from building God a house. (2 Tim. 2:20-21)
3. THE SPIRITUAL VESSELS SAVED TO BUILD GOD’S HOUSE
   The believers represent the various vessels described in our text. It caused God so much pain to save us because he used the blood of his son, Jesus, to redeem us from sin. Besides, the Lord has endowed us with different talents to build his temple which represents our hearts where he dwells. Moreover, he has requested that we must add more vessels to those he provided. This implies that, we should bring more souls into his Kingdom to join in building his house.
   How effective are you in building this house which represents the fellowship centre and the body of Christ.

CONCLUSION:
God has called believers to build his house with the gifts he deposited in them. And he has promised to be with them to bless them if they do this to his glory.
