BREAKING: PDP LOSES KEY MEMBERS TO LABOUR PARTY
IT WAS AN EPOCH EVENT YESTERDAY AS AN MBAISE TRUE SON SIR. BASIL MADUKA DECAMPED FROM PDP.
There has been a political wave of change for the Mbaise nation since an illustrious son of the soil picked interest in the Douglas House.
Yesterday, the 25th day of November, 2022, the Mbaise born industrialist decamped from PDP and identified with the most transparent political party in our time – Labour Party.
Suffice to say that Labour Party is currently fronting the Nigeria most transparent and accepted presidential flag bearer – His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra state.
Since this song of political revolution started making waves in Nigeria, other transparent individuals who have been avoiding politics because of its brutality and corruption have started identifying with the party to quench the people’s quest for good governance.
Imo state is not excluded in this move as today being the 26th day of November, 2022, Sir. Basil Maduka declared his interest to contest for governorship come 2024 in Imo State through the most prestigious Labour Party if given the mandate.
In his courtesy visit to the state executives of the party, he made his intentions known to the party and the Imo citizens in general as he declared his support for the party’s presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi.
Also present, were the wards and local government executives of the labour party, Imo State.
In his remarks, he lamented the high level of insecurity, unemployment, instability and corruption in the state and promised to tactically approach this issues and bring them to an end if he becomes the governor of Imo State.
Sir Basil Maduka is from the Mbaise extraction of Owerri Zone in Imo State who is loved and immensely supported by his people.
As an ace industrialist, he has employed and empowered more than 500 youths across Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria and the globe.
Speaking further, he promised to establish industries, improve the health care system and build hospitals in the three senatorial zones of the state.
He went further to promise he will give one million naira grant to every Imo youth to curb crime amongst the young people. This he will achieve by disbursing them in batches.
Sir Basil Maduka is from Chokoneze/Akpodim ward of Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA in Owerri zone of Imo State.
It is worthy of note that Owerri zone has nine local governments and since inception, no one from the Ahiazu/Ezinihite Federal Constituency has received the mandate to occupy the Douglas House for the Zone.
In twelve political seasons, all other local government areas in the zone have been supporting Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency.
It is time for equity, fairness and justice to reign in Owerri Zone politically.
Sir Basil Maduka has no bad records, he is tested and trusted and has a verifiable means of income over the years.
He ended by assuring that he will empower the Imo youths with both skills and employment opportunities and will commence local government tour immediately.
