TOPIC: JESUS TROUBLED ON SEEING MARY’S TEARS

TEXT: JOHN 11:33-43

MEMORY VERSE: John 11:33, “When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews also… he groaned in the spirit and was troubled”.

OBJECTIVE: To enable Christians realize how much Jesus is troubled by their pains and how willing he is to bring solutions to them.

LESSONS:

  1. JESUS WEPT ON SEEING MARY’S TEARS

Immediately Jesus saw Mary weeping with the Jewish mourners, He became troubled in the spirit.

So He asked her where Lazarus was buried and she showed Him and he wept.

Quickly, He went there, signifying his pain at the trouble Satan had brought on the family.

Have you shed tears and it did not move Him?

Believe by faith, the opportunity is now.

He is waiting to hear you and solve the problem.

  1. JESUS COMMANDED THEM TO REMOVE THE STONE

The moment Jesus reached the graveside He ordered them to remove the stone on the grave.

But Martha tried to stop him because the corpse must have decayed and would be stinking badly, haven taken four days of burial.

But Jesus said, “did I not say, if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”.

So they obeyed and removed the stone.

That is to say, they stopped doubting and believed his words.

  1. JESUS RAISED LAZARUS TO LIFE

Once they obeyed and removed the stone, Jesus raised Lazarus to life and said, “Loose him and let him go”.

Jesus is ready to raise to life every dead thing in and around you today if you believe and would not doubt his words.

Notice his command to ‘loose the bound and let him go’.

This means that the believers have the capacity to loose the bound with the word and prayer.

Therefore, get involved now in this loosing project and set the captives free.

CONCLUSION
As a believer, your unshakeable faith in his word and prayers is all you need to receive desired miracles in accordance with his word that says, “a contrite and a broken spirit, the Lord will not despise”.
