The Nigerian army is the largest of the components of the Nigerian Armed Forces. It has responsibility for land warfare operations. This body is directed and organized by the Nigerian Army Council.

Private’s Salary

A private in the Nigerian Army is paid about N49,000.

Lance Corporal’s Salary

A Lance Corporal on the other hand is paid about N55,000.

Corporal’s Salary

A Corporal is paid N58,000.

Sergeant’s Salary

When he gets promoted to the rank of a Sergeant, he starts earning N63,000 per month.

Staff Sergeant’s Salary

As a Staff Sergeant, he is paid N68,000.

Warrant Officer’s Salary

On promotion to the rank of a Warrant Officer, he will be paid N80,000 per month.

Captain’s Salary

A Captain is next is rank and he is paid N220,000.

Major’s Salary

The next rank is that of a Major and he receives N300,000 every month as take home pay.

A Major gets promoted to the rank of a Lt. Colonel and he starts receiving N350,000 every month.

Colonel’s Salary

The next rank after Major General is that of a Lt. General and this shoots his salary up to N1 million.
