WARMTH WELCOME AS TWO PDP CANDIDATES STORM UMUNOMO COMMUNITY IN AHIAZU MBAISE LGA
It was an unexpected political experience on Friday 17th February, 2023 as Hon. Emeka Chinedu and Engr. Rex Okoro campaigns storms Umunomo Community in Umunomo/Umuchieze ward in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
Hon. Emeka Chinedu is representing Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers and seeking for a second term bid through the Peoples Democratic Party while Engr. Rex Okoro is the PDP flag bearer for Imo State House of Assembly representing Ahiazu Mbaise LGA.
Worthy of note is that Umunomo Community has 80% voting power to determine election victory of any Candidate in Umunomo/Umuchieze ward.
The duo has stormed the community to seek for support as it touches the 25th of February and 11th of March, 2023 elections coming in few days time.
In the history of Imo politics this is the first time a candidate and a seating House of Representatives member is stepping foot on the soil of Umunomo Community land.
Chief Eddy Igbokwe, one of the elders and leaders of the community spoke in appreciation to the contestants for honouring their land.
In addition, he intimated them on the need to rehabilitate their community road which is at the moment nearly unaccessible.
Furthermore, he assured them of their 100 percent support come 2023 general election.
In addition, he challenged them to bring their road to good use and have themselves continually supported by the community in subsequent elections to come.
In response, Hon. Emeka Chinedu and Engr. Rex Okoro promised to repair the road if they gain victory in the coming elections and assume office afterwards.

The youths, men, women and stakeholders of the community were excited to have had this experience for the first time in history.
