HIGH CHIEF AMB. DR. OKWUDIRI DIVINE NWANDU (AKUNAESIOBIKE 1 OF MBAISE LAND,) BAGS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.

Award that took place at Essential Golden Tulip Hotel Okigwe road Owerri, yesterday 29th of July, 2023.

Arise Africa Magazine has bestowed a lifetime achievement award on the astute and successful Businessman, philanthropist, CEO of Okwu Ventures West African LTD, a conglomerate of five different companies: Okwu Oil & Gas LTD; Okwu Logistics LTD; Legend Paint Inc.; Okwu Real-Estate LTD; Okwu Solid Mineral’s Inc. and also the founder of Africa Foundation to help the poor in Ghana and beyond, who is a native of Ihitteaforukwu in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, Imo State, High Chief Dr. Amb. Okwu Divine Nwandu (Akunaesiobike 1 of Mbaise Land).

The award was organized by the Arise Africa Magazine yesterday been Saturday to celebrate the Societal and Humanitarian development achieved by the philanthropist.

The event was held on Saturday, 29th July, 2023, at Essential Golden Tulip Hotel, Owerri, Imo State.

Receiving the award on behalf of High Chief Dr. Okwudiri Divine Nwandu (Akunaesiobike 1 of Mbaise Land), Hon. Nze Donatus Ojoko, appreciated the great organization for their wonderful recognition, stating that High Chief Dr. O.D. Nwandu deserves such a great award because of his humanitarian guestures and positive contributions to the society.

Among other people that represented him were; Hon. Iyke Mbakwe; Chief Chikwem Chukwu, Comrade Ibeh Chukwuemeka and Hon. Ugochukwu Azubuike.

Other award recipients are; Rt. Hon. Chief Barr. Ike C. Ibeh (Labour Party Governorship aspirant); Prof. Martins Nwankwo (Dean, faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Imo State University, Owerri); Rt. Hon. Eddy Obinna (Deputy Chief. whip of Imo State House of Assembly); Veteran Broadcaster at IBC Owerri, Dr. Mrs. Nma Olebara, and others.

Chief Dr. Amb. OKWUDIRI DIVINE NWANDU is a native of Ihitteaforukwu in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

He was born in Tiko, South-western Province of the Republic of Cameroon, in the year of the Lord by Chief Samuel Chukwunyere Nwandu (Akú Eweghí Ebe 1) of Ihitteafóukwu and Lolo Beatrice Nwandu (late). Both parents are from Ahiazu Mbaise LGA.

He started his early education at Presbyterian Nursery/Primary school Tiko and later finished at St.James Anglican primary school Ihitteafóukwu. He was admitted into Paternoster Secondary school Ekwerazu and later finished at Boys Secondary School Umualumaku Ehime Mbano in Imo State. Due to his passion for business at early stage, he channeled all his energy towards that dream and was able to establish different business platforms within West and Central Africa.

He realised that education is paramount and quickly enrolled himself into POMA INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS UNIVERSITY (PIBU), Benin Republic, where he studied Business Administration.

As a business man, the have been some legal challenges, so the need to understand and interpret the law became apparent, so, he enrolled himself into the Prestigious WISCONSIN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ACCRA GHANA. Where he is currently in his 300L in the faculty of Law in that University.

Chief Dr. Amb. Okwudiri Divine Nwandu is an Expert in solid Minerals and has the mandate to negotiate, purchase and sales of solid minerals such as Gold, Diamonds and other Gemstones for multinational companies.

He is a seasoned Philanthropist.
He is the founder of the (African Foundation to help the Poor Ghana) a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established to help the less-privileged in Ghana and beyond.

He is a grand Ambassador of the WORLD PEACE ASSEMBLY.

He is a capitalist cum industrialist as his company Legend Paint Inc. is manufactural of the popular Legend Paint, an American technology water based Paint of high quality, dominating the African paint market .

Chief Dr. Amb. Okwudiri Divine NWANDU, AKUNAESIOBIIKE 1 OF MBAISE LAND, AFOR 1 OF IHITTEAFORUKWU ACCIENT KINGDOM, has his business tentacles spread in over 14
countries round the world, straightened from Africa, Europe, Asia and the United State of America ; with 300 permanents staff’s and 450 indirect staff’s in his various business platform.

Chief Dr. Amb. Okwudiri Divine Nwandu, Business network spanned over 20 years is based on MANUFACTURING, IMPORTATION, DISTRIBUTION AND MARCHANDISING.

Up till date, Chief Dr. Amb. O.D. NWANDU, ODIUKO NA-MBA NDIGBO 1 NA GHANA, as part of his philanthropic gestures, awarded scholarships to Twenty-five (25) students in different universities in Nigeria, Ghana and Republic of Benin, also Thirty-Eight (38) secondary school students in their respective schools, are also beneficiaries of his scholarships.
As part of his contribution to the covid-19 relief, he gave out over 10,000 relief materials as palliatives, to many families in his home town in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, Imo state at large and in Ghana, West Africa.

Chief Dr Amb. O.D. Nwandu has touched the life’s of many families in his hometown Ihitteaforukwu in very positive ways.

His various humanitarian activities, led to him being bestowed with an honorary doctorate degree by the prestigious, Professional institute for further studies Ghana,

Chief Dr. Amb. O.D. NWANDU is a respected member of the NDI-ICHIE OBI EZIOKWU NDI IGBO NA GHANA.

He is also a high-profile seasoned politician with a style and a strong member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), one of African largest political party. Chief Dr. Amb. O.D.Nwandu has worked closely with the party hierarchy and based on his commitments he was honored by the National PDP youth Alliance with an Ambassadorial Award.

Just very recently the Good people of Umuemesie in Umueze Ihitteafóukwu has found him fit to takeover the mantle of traditional leadership and in so doing they uninacimously elect him as their Eze elect to fill the vacant traditional leadership position which has remained vacant since the sad demise of HRM Eze Isidore Obasi in 2017.

Chief Dr. Amb. O.D.Nwandu as popularly known is a devoted Christian and is happily married to LOLO JULIANA ADAKU NWANDU (Oso Diya Eme), and they are blessed with five children to the Glory of God.

Chief Dr. Amb. O.D. Nwandu, as a devoted Christian, has been bestowed with tremendous recognitions by the Anglican Bishop of Mbaise diocese, Bishop Chamberlain Chinedu Oguledo, as the Builder in the House of God.
VEN. Ishmael Chidi Osuagwu (Nwandu) the Archdeacon of ST. Peters Ife Ezinihitte Mbaise honoured Chief as “Nehemiah” of our time.

Just last year, High Chief Dr. Amb. O.D.Nwandu was honoured by the C.W.O of ST. GREGORY PARISH IHITTEAFÓUKWU As “EZI NWA” (EXCELLENT CHILD).

Chief Dr. Amb. O.D.Nwandu was conferred “THE BEST FRIEND OF THE YOUTHS” by the youth wing of Umuezeariam under the president of ENGR. CHINONSO AWUZIEKE.

For his youth empowerment scheme and tireless support for the youths.

Indeed Chief Dr. Amb. O.D.Nwandu have touched so many lives positively, nationally and internationally. He is a Rare Gem.
