SUNDAY SCHOOL OUTLINE FOR 18TH OCTOBER, 2023.

TOPIC: THE GAINS OF TESTIFYING GOD’S GOODNESS

TEXT: ACTS 15:3-4

MEMORY VERSE: ACTS 15:12B, “…and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles”.

OBJECTIVE: To enable the class to understand the power of testifying about God’s goodness.

LESSONS:

  1. THE TESTIMONY OF PAUL
Testimony is a written or oral factual account of God’s goodness to mankind. It is the evidence that someone in need has benefited from God’s help.
For example, Paul and Barnabas were very excited when they narrated to the Samaria brethren, how the Lord saved the Gentile sinners through the gospel which they preached.
Which means, they were very elated for being used by God to convert the gentiles.
Notice that, the church was listening attentively as they testified about the miracles the Lord did through their ministry.
  2. THE EFFECT OF PAUL’S TESTIMONY
The impact of the testimony of Paul and Barnabas was very positive because it brought so much joy and edification to the church. It made them to glorify God for his kindness to the needy and justified his presence amongst his ministers.
  3. YOUR TESTIMONY AND THE ENEMY. JOSHUA 2:10-11
The enemy is always afraid when they hear you confess about God’s wonders amongst the brethren. “As we hear it, our hearts melted and there was no spirit left in us because of you”, they enemy said. Moreover, it makes them to acknowledge the supremacy of your God and become discouraged to attack you.

CONCLUSION
Always confess God’s miracles amongst you so as to edify the Church and weaken the enemy; than spread evil reports which can discourage the brethren. (Num. 13:32; 14:1-2)
